Vagrant Scans was created on the 1st of December, 2008.

The founding members were Pirate1019, Lord Paper, Luco, Elkin and Sekai. The projects we work on are projects that we have selected on a whim, but we try to work on Seinen and Shounen. If you wish to know how we came to be, please scroll down for a charming little tale.

A long long time ago… this group did not exist.

But a group called Domo Scans (no longer alive) did exist. In this group were a few happy bees buzzing away at their sub-par work. There were two bees of interest in this group, and at first glance you could surely see… that these two little bees were destined for something greater. One day and enthusiastic little bee showed up in this group. He offered his meager typesetting skills and was warmly welcomed. And so from then on the tree bees, and all the other bees worked in harmony.

After a time, the tree bees grew dreary. Their leader, the Queen Bee, was never quite there, she would laze about and rarely get anything organized. This greatly troubled the three bees, and so they went to their secret base to vent their anger. After that, the tree bees grew stronger bonds, and went regularly to their secret base. Soon, reacing the limit of their patience, the bees thought up a plan, a plan to defect from the group.

These were fast, busy times, when the bees scrambled to rehearse their play to resign. They wrote heartfelt scripts and practiced line after line, when the day came. The bees lined up, and preformed one after the other. Soon, all the bees had left the group forever. But they did not leave empty handed.

A week past, and the bees regrouped. These three bees, full of renewed enthusiasm and vigor, decided to form their new group. With an old project, and a trusted translator, the bees, now four of them, had reached their goal. They were now independent, free and happy.

This, was how Vagrant Scans came to be.
